Ross grew up between Washington DC and Guatemala City where his dad ran a renewable energy non-profit with a focus on wind and solar energy. Ross received his degree in architecture from Yale University where he graduated with an award in design excellence. He is both a licensed architect and contractor and founder of ASSEMBLY ARCHITECTURE + BUILD
Leslie Holman
Licensed Architect
Leslie grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and attended Centre College in the state, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Art History. After graduation, she moved down to North Carolina, staying briefly in the mountains before moving on to Raleigh and North Carolina State University for her Master’s of Architecture — where she graduated with a certificate in City Design and concentration on History and Theory. A licensed architect and highly organized, she’s a master of construction documentation, details, and design.
Stephen Waters
Building Project Manager
With two decades of experience in the home building industry, Stephen’s knowledge and dedication to energy-efficient building systems has shaped the way Assembly builds homes. From Fayetteville, NC Stephen moved to Asheville where he got started framing and siding houses. Before long, he started a house framing business with a focus on advanced framing techniques and built over 30 homes in the Asheville area. Adamant about incorporating green building techniques into every house, he works closely with the architecture side of office to ensure every home is both Green Built and Energy Star certified.
Brett Wyatt
Building Project Manager
Brett grew up on the shores of the Outer Banks making the trek to Western NC to attend Warren Wilson College where he graduated with a degree in the arts. He’s been with Assembly since it’s inception, growing effortlessly along with our humble company. He is now a much beloved Project Manager with a dozen custom homes under his belt and an obsession with details and durability.
Taylor Hada
Lead Carpenter
Taylor grew up in Central Texas and moved to the Asheville area in 2011. In 2015 he completed Haywood’s Professional Craft Wood Program where he studied all aspects of furniture design and construction. Taylor has spent the last decade expanding his carpentry knowledge to the home-building process, gaining experience in framing and finish carpentry. He’s an excellent leader and everyone loves working with him.
Mac Clark
Superintendent & Finish Carpenter
From Atlanta, Mac, moved to California after college where he worked on high-end custom homes and commercial projects in Lake Tahoe and then eventually all around the country. With 15 years of experience in the profession he brings a lot of knowledge and organizational systems to our team. Mac sees it as an extension of his childhood obsession with Legos. As long as he putting the pieces together and building cool projects, he’s happy. We feel honored to have him on the team.
Quinn Schreiber
Intern & Model Builder
Originally from central Ohio, Quinn moved to Hendersonville just before his university years, eventually attending UNC Charlotte, where he attained a BA in Architecture. His interest in architecture stemmed from his parents purchasing a home under construction during their time in Michigan. He spends his time away from school working at Assembly as a model builder and will be pursuing a Master’s in Architecture at Ohio State University.
